Three Christs begins with a host, the unnamed, self-professed ‘‘Scientist,’’ setting the parameters of an experiment he will perform on three patients with Christ Syndrome. The hypothesis: forcing three disturbed identities together will force them to a state of normalcy. The experiment quickly spirals out of control & we learn that our almighty guide is not to be trusted. The subjects—each with a steadfast belief that they are the son of God—struggle to remain within their comfortable state of madness & the proceedings descend into the unpredictable state of our host. Nothing is off limits. Nothing is left unchanged. It is a process that combines psychology, music & drama to attack the heart of what it means to believe.
